Our philosophy has always been to make sure our guests truly savour this unique region of France and all it has to offer through cooking and the Gascony lifestyle we so cherish.
We believe that our guests should be truly involved in every aspect of the cooking experience. Your hosts and chefs David and Bernard will delight in showing you all that is special in this region. Their passion for Gascony, its people, traditions and produce is unsurpassed.
David an English chef who owns and runs the Table d’hote now lives in the village of Gramont. His approach and style to traditional French cuisine has won him much praise throughout Gascony. Bernard our French chef compliments David with over twenty five years of experience in French cuisine. He is the owner and resident chef of le Petit feuillant, an Auberge renowned for its traditional Gascony dishes.
Our French Cookery Classes are tailored to meet the needs of the aspiring chef or budding beginner. We pride ourselves on a flexible and informal approach to French cooking tuition. We offer expert tuition in an informal atmosphere to a schedule that gives all that attend the opportunity to learn basic or advanced cooking skills during their stay. We offer cookery weekend experiences and cookery holidays and vacations.
You will be taken to the local markets to experience all that is great and fresh in French local produce. But make sure you buy only the best because you will be cooking and preparing it for the evening meal. Enjoy coffee in the market square as you watch the locals go about their daily business. So whether you are with us for a weekend cookery class or a week of cooking tuition we encourage you to immerse yourself in the Gascon lifestyle for one of the most memorable and rewarding holidays or vacations its possible to have in France.
When the evening arrives you can look forward to relaxing in the warmth of the evening sun on our terrace. The views across the rolling countryside and Valleys of this part of France are outstanding and there’s no better place to enjoy them. You will be joined by one or both of our chefs for dinner and you will be encouraged to get involved in preparing evening service at the Table d’hote.
